Flagellant darkest dungeon12/20/2023 ![]() You can mitigate this, but the deathblow chance can never go below 13%. When at Death's Door, any damage to the hero has a base 1-in-3 chance of being a mortal blow. Not only does this save a good amount of money destressing the heroes, it's also a crowning moment of badassery for them: they delved into the depths of madness and horror, and their response upon coming out again with packs crammed with loot is something in the vein of: "That was a fun little diversion!" If you play your cards right and you're really lucky, sometimes you can come out of an expedition with a net reduction in stress. Not only does it set the tone and setting of the game perfectly, but is an impressive pieces in its own right, visually, audibly, and in writing. The very INTRO of Darkest Dungeon is one for the game itself.Reclaim barely does inflict any bleeding on my Flagellant with Fortifying Garlic and I don't even think it's the best anti-bleed trinket. Just slap a bleed resist and a dodge/HP set of trinkets and he will both tank in the frontline and keep healing. If ♥♥♥♥ hits the fan your dedicated healer can help him out. If you use him as a tank however he would shine, able to heal himself up and soak up marks etc. And why would you target all attention to your healer? He will be at deaths door 24/7 while your party just gradually loses HP. Well reclaim is ment to enable your other skills, in itself it is really a bad heal. I've also just used an Arbalest->Graverobber->ManAtArms->Flagellant team to handedly clear the first two Color Of Madness quests, the second one without even bringing any food or campfire material, all thanks to the Flagellant keeping everyone full health all the time (you can even use Reclaim preemptively before your allies take any damage just to keep the Flagellant busy if he can't hit anything with Punish"). I'm pretty sure that the "Reclaim" skill works even without him being damaged, not to mention he also gets skills to mark himself, you could also give him a ton of aggro with an Antiquarian to make sure everything targets him. He is a strong damage tank that focuses on bleeding the enemy to death. His heals only works when he is damaged, and if the enemies avoid him and kill everyone else that is pretty bad for a main healer. ![]() Originally posted by CloudSeeker:I have no idea why he should be used as a healer. How about you lot? Have you tried this yet and if so what do you think about it? I'm finding myself really pleased with him since he allows a lot more damage dealers in the backline, namely Houndmaster, Bounty Hunter, Highwayman, Graverobber and Arbalest/Musketeer. a Plague Doctor but with more BDSM added to her (and a ♥♥♥♥♥) with Suffer, allowing the flagellant to take all the DoM pain and get low enough on health to use Redeem a healer that never stops giving out the love with Reclaim (which even sticks after the battle is over) and Redeem a tanky monstrosity solely taking everything to the face in the rank 1 position I've set up my Flagellant with Fortifying Garlic (adds 33% Blight, Bleed, Disease resistance) and another trinket of choice giving it more HP/Speed/Healing skills and the result is To cut things short: he's good, not Vestal good mind you but it can carry all the team healing by himself and then some. I've been very reliant on the Vestal in most of my go-to-teams to murder bosses/finish very hard runs with, but I went to a point where my vestals got to higher levels and left my poor Veteran teams without a standard, not RNG-reliant (looking at you pathetic creature of an Occultist) alternative, which led me to experiment with the Flagellant of all things.
